Competition on Hand Washing
Attention : All members of Indian Public Health Association and Readers of Indian Journal of Public Health for wider circulation
An essay competition on “Hand Washing” will be conducted by Indian Public Health Association. Please submit six copies of the paper along with a CD to the Secretary General, IPHA, 110 Chittaranjan Avenue, Kolkata – 700073 by 15.12.2011. Out of the papers submitted 3 papers will be shortlisted for ﬁnal presentation at IPHA 56th All India Annual Conference at Kochi from February 10-12, 2012. Judgment for the best 3 papers will be done as per standard format of IPHA. Eligibility: Undergraduate medical students of six semester to 9thsemester. The paper should be forwarded and recommended by the Principal of their respective institutions. It should follow the journal norms (www.ijph.in) and should not exceed 2000 words. When shortlisted a power point version should be prepared for presentation for 10 minutes only and 5 minutes after presentation for judges’ and audience questions. The judges will select 1st, 2nd & 3rd Prize and their decision will be ﬁnal.

The prizes will be awarded at the venue of the IPHA 56th All India Annual Conference at Kochi. The presenting candidates will not be provided TA/DA.

Competition on Home Hygiene
Attention : All Members of Indian Public Health Association
A competition will be held on Research Studies on “Home Hygiene”. Best three entries will be short listed for ﬁ nal presentation (10 min) during the IPHA 56th All India Annual Conference. Please submit six copies of the study report (along with a CD) to the Secretary General at the IPHA HQ, Kolkata by 15th November 2011.
